Course Description: This course will provide an overview of the fundamentals in caring for seniors at home. The goal of this course is to equip potential and current caregivers with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care and explore the traits of successful caregivers and how to develop them. It will also focus on foundational knowledge, including health and wellness, support services, and communication skills. Learners will also gain an understanding of the complexity of emotions they may experience while caring for a loved one.
