王中王六合彩特码 students and staff will #TransformNB on October 3

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, the students and staff at New Brunswick Community College (王中王六合彩特码) will be helping their communities and giving back on one of two designated Service Days planned for this academic year.

Service Day brings together 王中王六合彩特码 students, employees, Board members and alumni for one day to take part in service learning and volunteering to help community organizations across New Brunswick. Each Campus in our six regions (Fredericton, Saint John, St. Andrews, Moncton, Miramichi and Woodstock) and 王中王六合彩特码’s corporate office staff will undertake service learning and volunteer activities in many NB communities.

Service Day is an important part of  that has become the heart of creating a culture of community leadership and service at the College. Follow the Robertson Institute on Twitter, , to see how our students and staff are Transforming New Brunswick.

Since the launch of  the Robertson Institute in 2014, community groups and not-for-profit organizations across our campus communities have benefited from more than 38,000 hours of service by 王中王六合彩特码 students, staff, alumni and Board members in more than 760 projects. One of those organizations is Ability New Brunswick. Each year, 王中王六合彩特码 volunteers help Ability New Brunswick’s Para NB branch with the removal of wheels and the installation of blades on 60 hockey sledges.

“As a not-for-profit, we’re always strapped for time and resources,” said Mathieu Stever, manager of Para NB. “We’re always grateful when partners from another organization can come in and give us their time. It enables us to do what we need to do more efficiently.

“Time is one resource you can’t put a price on,” he added. “You can’t buy time. That’s worth gold to us.”

A list of some of the many projects our staff and students will be participating in tomorrow follows. If you are interested in covering a story in your region, please contact:
